1930 Franklin Airman
Franklin Airman featured a beautifully detailed radial engine monoplane(with spinning propeller) and cabin lights that came on with the headlights.
The hood ornament for the Franklin Airman is even more amazing when one considers that the grill and ornament give the illusion of a radiator and cap when the car was an air-cooled model.

Hi Alf,
I don't think the ornament represents a carmaker, but looking at the radiator top I think it could be a Ford Model 'A'

Certainly this car is a Franklin Airman Sport Runabout 1928 Roger.

Hi Louis the ornament on the Franklin is different to this and was part of the original car, this one has been put on afterwards. I still think this car is a Ford Model 'A', maybe Alf will tell us?

Hi Roger and Louis,
Alf has sent me the photo of the car that this ornament belongs to... see picture #9225

Interesting puzzle! The shapes of the pieces were novel and challenging! I finished the puzzle and framed it for my husband's garage. We love cars, and especially the beautiful classics!
