As the owner of this car, I can confirm it is a ZA Magnette, although we changed the engine from the original 1500cc, which was duff, to an MGB GT 1800 with overdrive. This made it eminently more practical on motorways, cruising comfortably at 65-70mph. Bought as a £300 wreck in 1991, it has seen 3 separate restorations, including two resprays, now sporting a coat of Jaguar Midnight blue.
