Might it be a Bentley three litre too?

Added by Marcel Gommers on 01 October 2009.
It is a Vauxhall from the 1920s.

Added by Louis van Telgen on 02 October 2009.
A Vauxhall Prince Henry perhaps?

Added by Chris Hall Teesside NE England. on 02 October 2009.
Thank you, I wasn't confident enough myself to say Vauxhall.

Added by Andrew Wright on 02 October 2009.
No, it is not a Prince Henry model. It is a later model. I think it is a Vauxhall 30/98 Tourer for around the late 1920s.

Vauxhall 30/98 1913-1928
The car went out of production in 1927,and 598 models of various types had been produced,an unacceptable figure, to the new General Motors management of 1925,the Prince Henry model 1910- 1915 had a sharper designed radiator

Engine:4525cc 4 cylinder
Power:90 bhp
Top speed :85mph
Production total 598

And not only that, the Audi coming up alongside, is only just able to overtake it!!

The give away to the identity lies in the flutes on the bonnet sides. The Prince Henry had them along the full length the 30/98 had them as shown here for approximately a third of the length. The 30/98 was also a very much heavier car.

This IS an OD 23/60 "Kington" (no, that is not a spelling mistake!) Tourer. I once owned one - XO 8420 - If the engine is in original condition, it will have a Lanchester Harmonic Stabilizer running off skew gears on the crankshaft.

Added by Raife Collett on 17 January 2013.
Car is a 1921 or 1922 Vauxhall 30-98 E type ie the side valve 4.5 litre model with Velox tourer coachwork.
